Microneedling Treatment with or without PRP

The micro-channels created by the treatment allow for optimal absorption of topical products and/or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). PRP is a blood product that contains all of the healing mechanisms and concentrated growth factors in the blood. It is obtained through a small blood sample from the patient, is spun in a centrifuge to separate it from the red blood cells, and then is used in conjunction with the microneedling to enhance their effects in the deeper layers of the skin.
Total healing time depends on the depth of the treatment, skin type, and skin condition. Patients are usually slightly pink/red/sunburnt looking for 1-3 days, followed by a week of dry skin. You will need to make sure to avoid the direct sun for 2 weeks after treatment.
