Got a Cut? Bypass the ER and Go Straight to Your Plastic Surgeon!

By May 30, 2012 No Comments

Summertime is upon us and that means the kids are out of school.  The variety of summer activities from sports camp to arts and crafts camp to simple play dates with friends can and will inevitably lead to a few injuries this summer and we are here to accommodate and ease your concerns regarding your children and their injuries.

At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group, Dr. Payman Danielpour and Dr. John Layke take pride in always being available for pediatricians, parents and children when needed.  Their expertise in the field of Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as years of complex trauma experience has prepared them to handle any and all traumatic events involving both children and adults.

Whether contacted directly by the patient or the patients physician or pediatrician, Drs Layke and Danielpour always respond immediately and will meet the patient in the office or the hospital depending on the severity of the injury and convenience for the patient.

As a team they take pride in comforting children with a variety of methods that are now tried and true due to the extensive list of patients and injuries treated.  The goal is prompt, immediate attention with expert and comforting care.

Immediate evaluation of the injury and prompt treatment in a comforting and relaxed setting to avoid traumatizing children and adults.

Treatment of lacerations (cuts) to the face should ALWAYS be treated by a qualified plastic surgeon.  We also recommend all injuries to the hands, burn injuries, facial trauma, and complex laceration be treated by a plastic surgeon.

The treatment of lacerations can vary from bandaids, to skin glue to stitches and needs proper evaluation.  This sometimes can even be done via telemedicine.  A picture can be emailed or sent via text and recommendations will be given by Dr Danielpour and Dr Layke.

Although we wish no harm upon anyone, children or adults, we do urge for you to put this number (310) 275-6600 in your speed dial just in case!!

We do however wish you an incredible, safe and very memorable summer.
