The Plastic Surgery Procedures Celebrities Are Doing To Look Younger

By September 23, 2024 No Comments

The proverbial “fountain of youth” may not exist, but advanced aesthetic and cosmetic procedures continue to provide visible results that even celebrities covet.

Your aging journey is just that – yours – so if you want to slow the ravages of time, you’ll be excited to learn that Board Certified Beverly Hills plastic surgeons Dr. Payman Danielpour and Dr. John Layke of Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group have performed over 5000 surgeries and offer options far superior to standard facilities, which includes their own on-site operating room.

Med spa procedures, like dermal fillers, CoolSculpting, and laser treatments are great non-surgical options as standalone treatments, but many of our patients choose to incorporate them into a more permanent approach to supplement their anti-aging routine.

What do celebrities ask for most? You might be surprised to hear the answers.

#1 Facelift and Neck Lift

Dermal fillers and Botox offer many benefits, but if you want to smooth out deep wrinkles, lift sagging skin, and tighten your jawline, a facelift (rhytidectomy) is in order. And facelifts have come quite a long way over the last ten years, especially when performed by accomplished surgeons. “After multiple imaging studies reveal how we ACTUALLY age, procedures are now tailored toward addressing the anatomic pathology that occurs with aging,” says Dr. Layke. “We also address issues earlier, when more collagen is present, and subtle long-lasting results are possible.”

While non-surgical options work wonders – and our expert injectors achieve stellar results – jowls, decreased muscle tone, fat deposits, and deep creases around the mouth and below the eyes require more than a simple plump up every few months. Facelifts provide a natural restoration for the aging face,” says Dr. Layke.  “Fillers and skin-tightening procedures can work to “camouflage” aging, similar to blowing up a balloon. Many times, however, the addition of excess volume leads to an unnatural appearance, filler migration, etc. A face and neck lift can resuspend tissue that has fallen.”

Usually done together, a deep plane face and neck lift includes repositioning skin and muscle to restore sagging features to their youthful position. Our team carefully hides the incisions behind your ears and in the hairline, so your appearance will be free of any telltale signs of surgery. And best of all, these surgeries are so advanced today, the results are life-changing, especially when performed by skilled surgeons. Along with a solid skincare routine and a cautious approach to sun exposure, the results can last for years.

#2 Rhinoplasty

When you think of procedures designed to shave years off your appearance, rhinoplasty doesn’t exactly spring to mind. People often opt for cosmetic nose surgery for beautification purposes – to fix the shape of their nose – or medically necessary reasons – to make it easier to breathe. But one study utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) has also shown that your nose is an indicator of your age

In 2019, researchers at UCLA used AI to objectively evaluate a person’s perceived age based on their facial features. The study revealed that individuals who had undergone a rhinoplasty procedure were perceived to look up to seven years younger than their actual age, especially patients over 40.

Just like other parts of the body, the nasal structure may begin to droop over time, and if your face is starting to lose its natural fullness or volume, the nose can become more pronounced. “As we age, we lose bone, especially in certain areas on the face – one of which is called the piriform (at the base of the nose). The nose begins to appear larger and droop due to the loss of bony support,” says Dr. Layke

Rhinoplasty can restore the youthful tip by lifting it and/or repositioning the nose itself, so it looks balanced and more symmetrical with the rest of your features.

#3 Breast Augmentation and/or Breast Lift

While many women opt for breast augmentation in their 20s and 30s, this surgical option has no age limit and can successfully restore the youthful look your breasts once had, giving you a confidence boost and then some. Much like the face loses its volume over time, breasts are affected by changes in weight, the natural effects of gravity, and age-related hormonal changes.

“Breast lifts in your 40’s and 50’s have a way of returning the youthful look and perkiness of the breasts that most women are used to in their 20’s and 30’s,” says Dr. Danielpour.  “Over time and due to pregnancy and gravity, breasts tend to droop and the best option for returning  breasts to their youthful position is a breast lift.”

Saline or silicone implants can rebalance your silhouette by restoring fullness. After childbirth and breastfeeding, many women are left with asymmetrical breasts or breasts that are elongated or uneven. When performed by a board-certified cosmetic surgeon, breast augmentation rejuvenates the shape, and a mastopexy (aka breast lift) eliminates excess tissue and returns the breasts to their natural position higher on the chest, so they look more youthful.  And just wait until you experience the thrill of getting dressed along with relishing the new fit of your clothes after a breast augmentation. You may have a challenging time tearing yourself away from the mirror.

#4 Mommy Makeover

Even if the term “mommy makeover” is new to you, the concept probably isn’t. Childbirth changes multiple areas of a woman’s body simultaneously, and the mommy makeover corrects those areas in a single surgery, which equates to less scarring and  quicker recovery times. Since every woman is unique, we tailor the mommy makeover to your personal needs.

One popular combination includes a tummy tuck (aka abdominoplasty) to tighten sagging tissues and restore that flat belly you loved before giving birth. Breast augmentation or a breast lift can also eliminate excess breast tissue, lift the breasts, and restore lost volume. The end result is a rejuvenated silhouette that can restore your confidence as well as how you look in and out of apparel.

This combo treatment is also popular after losing weight, having a hysterectomy, or going through menopause , which often leave the abdomen looking loose or asymmetrical. You can also opt for liposuction or even a buttock augmentation to create the contours you desire.
