Two Implants with the Same Volume can Create Very Different Results

350cc does not describe an implant completely.

Two implants can contain the same volume while distributing that volume differently. One may have a wider base and less projection. Another may be narrower and project farther forward.

That difference can have a noticeable effect on the final breast shape.

We also have to consider what the implant is being placed into. Chest width, existing breast tissue, skin characteristics, natural asymmetry, and the patient’s current breast shape all influence how an implant may look.

This is why choosing Breast Augmentation implants from a CC number alone can be misleading.

A patient may come in asking for a specific volume because she liked that number on a friend or saw it online. But the same implant can behave very differently on two different bodies.

At Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group, our job is to determine the combination of volume, width, and projection that works with the patient’s anatomy and the result she is trying to achieve.

Breast Augmentation planning should begin with the patient, not with an implant number.
