Radiesse…What is it???

Radiesse is made of calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel. Radiesse fills in skin wrinkles and folds while stimulating your body’s own natural collagen production.

Collagen is the main structural protein found in your skin, but its strength and supply diminishes with aging. As a result, elasticity and volume decreases which  causes wrinkles, facial lines and skin laxity. Radiesse can help restore these depleted areas and create a more youthful appearance.

How does it work and what’s my recovery?

No allergy test is required with Radiesse since the product does not contain animal products. The treatment itself typically takes about 15 minutes based on the size or number of facial areas to be treated. It’s a typically quick and painless procedure and the results are instantaneous, with maximized full effects that are evident within one week post treatment. Radiesse results can last anywhere from one, to two years or more, but touchups may be necessary.

There is no downtime after Radiesse injections, though you may experience some swelling in the first 24 to 36 hours after your treatment, and there is always the potential for bruising.
