Scar Revision Surgery: for a less obvious (and hopefully, inconspicuous) scar

A LESS noticeable scar, for a MORE  noticeable YOU!

Scars can be  results of injury or surgery, which are often times unavoidable, and they can leave visible marks that remain on your skin after a wound has healed. A scar’s development and outcome can be unpredictable. Poor healing may contribute to scars that are more conspicuous , or disfiguring. Even wounds that heals well can result in a visible scar that might negatively affect your appearance.  Raised or recessed scars may be different in texture or color based on location or orientation.

Your treatment options may differ based on the degree and type of scarring and may  include, but not limited to:

  • Simple topical scar therapy treatments
  • Minimally invasive procedures to help minimize the appearance
  • Surgical revision with advanced techniques in wound closure

The purpose of scar revision surgery is  to minimize the scar and its appearance so that it is more consistent with your surrounding skin tone and texture.

Although scar revision can provide a more pleasing aesthetic result, a scar cannot be completely erased.
