Arm Lift- The fastest growing plastic surgery procedure

Do you have bat wings, do you feel like your arms are sagging and you cant wear the dresses that you want?  Are you embarrassed to wear sleeveless dresses?

Have you lost weight and now have skin sagging from your arms? If so, there is now a relatively simple outpatient procedure that can rid the extra skin and sag and get you back to wearing your sexy sleeveless outfits.

The arm lift or also referred to as brachioplasty is simply tailoring of the upper arm skin.  This skin laxity can appear with aging or massive weight loss and can give what is sometimes referred to as a “bat wing” appearance.

The procedure requires creation of an incision that is hidden when the arms are down from the armpit to the elbow, depending on the degree of skin laxity.  The loose excess skin is marked for removal, and any fat attached to the area of skin that is to be removed is also removed in the process.

The happiest patient after surgery is the person who has a large amount of excess skin. For patients with minimal skin laxity and only excess thickness or fat, there are other options that would not require a long incision such as liposuction or Cool Sculpting.

This is because the disadvantage of having the scar still outweighs the appearance of the excess skin. If your “bat wings” are holding you back from your sleeveless attire, please give us a call for a consultation @ (310) 275-6600

Brachioplasty, also known as arm lift, is performed to correct the excess hanging skin of the upper arm area. This skin laxity can appear after sudden or massive weight loss and can give what is sometimes referred to as a “bat wing” appearance. The surgery entails the creation of a long incision extending from the axilla (armpit) to the elbow, and is aimed to be hidden when the arms are down. The loose excess skin is marked for removal, and any fat attached to the area of skin that is to be removed is also removed in the process. The happiest patient after surgery is the person who has a large amount of excess skin. This is because the disadvantage of having the scar still outweighs the appearance of the excess skin. Persons with minimally loose skin should be sure to weigh the downside of a long scar that sometimes can be quite noticeable before considering this surgery. – See more at: http://www.drbandy.com/procedures_brachioplastyarmlift#sthash.fIERx1Kp.dpuf
