About Us
Dr. John Layke
Dr. Layke’s interest in surgery blossomed while attending medical school at Nova Southeastern University. He relocated to Chicago to train in General Surgery at the University of Illinois Metropolitan Group Hospitals.
While studying general surgery, Dr. Layke received a number of awards, including the title of Administrative Chief Resident and the Vijay Maker, MD award for Academic Excellence. He continued his training at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. He trained under the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, which is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in America.
As one of the most successful surgeons in the field, Dr. Layke has written and published several articles that have appeared in medical journals. He also conducted oral presentations at numerous National and International Conferences.
Dr. Layke has made appearances on national and local media that includes NBC-LA, Extra, Home & Family TV, The Doctors, and Entertainment Tonight. He has also worked as a consultant for print publications such as LA Mom Magazine, 944 Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, OK Magazine, STAR Magazine, and US Weekly.
The success of Dr Layke is an active member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Payman Danielpour, MD
Dr. Danielpour graduated from Chicago Medical School and earned his doctorate. He was an active student who was elected chairman of the class in the year he graduated. He studied General Surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
As a student in general surgery, Dr. Danielpour was selected to train in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Nassau University Medical Center in New York. He then went on to receive additional training in the prestigious surgical group on Long Island.
Dr. Danielpour has developed a number of advanced cosmetic and body surgery techniques. Together with Dr. Layke, he developed SIMM, the single-incision Mommy Makeover. He has made appearances in local media, such as NBC-LA, and has made additional appearances in Extra, Home and Family TV, Entertainment Tonight and The Doctors.
Due to his outstanding achievements in the field, Dr. Danielpour is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
Revision Rhinoplasty
In some cases, you may not achieve the results you hoped for from rhinoplasty. You may even have additional functional and aesthetic problems following the procedure. Revision rhinoplasty is essentially the restart button for your nose and it can correct any issues that have developed from a previous procedure and create the results you originally wanted.
A number of patients are interested in having a revision, but not everyone is a candidate. The best candidates for this corrective procedure are patients that have had a previous rhinoplasty with unsatisfactory results, have breathing difficulties, or experienced additional complications.
The revision procedure itself is similar to the original one. Following the surgery, you may experience some swelling, bruising, and discomfort for several days. Medication will be provided to help manage the pain. You must be cautious and protect your nose in the first few months of the recovery period. You must also avoid blowing your nose for at least one week following the revision.

Rhinoplasty
Not all patients are fortunate enough to be born with the perfect nose. Since this facial feature is in the center of the face, it is the most noticeable. Patients may have their self-confidence affected if their nose exhibits crooked, unusually large, or bulbous features. A rhinoplasty or nose surgery is performed to alter the nose’s appearance and make it more complementary with the rest of the face.
A rhinoplasty Beverly Hills procedure requires great skill and artistic attention. The nose must not only be aesthetically improved, but also retain optimal functionality. Dr. Danielpour and Dr. Layke carry decades in performing nasal procedures, providing a significant enhancement to the appearance of their patients.
Rhinoplasty can be completed in one day and is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure can be performed inside or outside the nose. It can also be performed between the nostrils. Modifications will be performed on the cartilage and bones of the nose. The cartilage is treated and altered to reshape the tip of the nose. Patients looking to reduce the size of their nose and shave down the cartilage or bone using a file or chisel.
If a patient has breathing issues prior to the treatment, additional work on the inside of the nose may need to be performed. During the recovery period, patients will wear a splint over the bridge of their noses to prevent swelling and maintain positioning. Most swelling and bruising will dissipate after a week from surgery.
Septoplasty
Septoplasty is a surgical repair of a deviated nasal septum. The septum is responsible for dividing your nose into two separate nostrils, it is comprised of bone and cartilage. When the septum becomes deviated, it is displaced to a single side of the nose.
A deviated septum can create the appearance of one nasal passage being larger than the other. The only available method of restoration is through reconstructive surgery. Prior to septoplasty, it is important to refrain from taking certain medications. This can help reduce potential excessive bleeding during the procedure.
A septoplasty can be completed in less than 90 minutes and involves making a small incision on side of the nose. The mucus membrane will be lifted and the surgeon will re-adjust the deviated septum into the correct position. Additional obstructions or anomalies will be removed. Patients can return home on the same of the procedure. The nose may be swollen or have slight discomfort, this can be treated by packing it with cotton. A full recovery can be expected several weeks after the procedure.
Ethnic Rhinoplasty
Ethnic rhinoplasty is concentrated on surgically enhancing a patient’s nose without disregarding their ethnic features. Whether they are of African, Asian, or Hispanic descent, patients may possess nasal features that are distinctive to their ethnicities. Different nasal characteristics may result in varying cosmetic goals and concerns. Ethnic rhinoplasty is performed to create a pleasing and symmetrical result to complement each patient’s face.
Dr. Layke and Dr. Danielpour specialize in advanced ethnic rhinoplasty procedures in Beverly Hills that alter the internal and external features of each patient’s nose while preserving their ethnic characteristics. Patients that have wider nostrils and bases of the nose receive specialized plastic surgery that changes the shape of the internal bone and cartilage.
